The Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation in together with the Board upon receipt and compilation of stakeholders’ submission invited the general public to validate the Hydrologists (Miscellaneous Amendment) Bill, 2024 at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies on 16th May 2024.
Water Secretary, State Department for Water and Sanitation, Engineer SAO Alima, CBS, Secretary Administration, State Department for Water and Sanitation, Mr. Stephen Kihara, Registrar of the HRB Mr. Antony Mwenje graced the Workshop.
PERFORMANCE CONTRACT VETTING AND SIGNING BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF WATER, SANITATION AND IRRIGATION AND THE HYDROLOGISTS REGISTRATION BOARD ON 28TH SEPTEMBER, 2021 IN MAJI HOUSE
The Hydrologists Registration Board and the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation signed a Performance Contract on 28th September, 2021 at the Ministry’s Boardroom. At the vetting and signing ceremony, the Ministry was represented by the Chief Administrative Secretary, Dr. Andrew Tuimur, CBS and the Director of Planning in the Ministry, Mr. Paul Asele.
The Board was represented by the Board Chairperson, Mr. Julius Mutuaruchiu, HSC and Independent Director, Mr. Benson Cheboswony who is also the Chairperson of the Board’s Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.
Also in attendance were Mr. Antony Mwenje (Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the Hydrologists Registration Board), Board management staff and officials from the Ministry’s Planning Department.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION WORKSHOP ON THE HYDROLOGISTS RULES AND REGULATIONS AT NDUPAWA HOTEL, ELDORET TOWN
The Hydrologists Registration Board held a public stakeholders’ workshop to collect views on the draft Hydrologists Rules and Regulations. The workshop was held on 30th June, 2021 at Ndupawa Hotel in Eldoret Town.
The highly interactive event was attended by participants from a wide range, which included Water Sector Institutions under the MWSI, Regional Development Authorities, Academia, Kenya Water Towers Agency, Kenya Forest Service, Water Services providers, private consultants/contractors, and the general public.
In compliance with the Ministry of Health’s recommendations concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, all health and safety regulations were adhered to, including limiting the number of participants to a manageable size.
